With the 2009 coming to an end, the riders from Formula Europe are finishing their last races before enjoying a well-deserved rest and starting preparation for the 2010 BMX Season.

Rihards Veide is showing he’s ready to move up to the Elite Category next season. In Besnato (Italy), he won the opening Time Trial of the 3rd International BMX Fast Cross against several European Top Elite riders. In Saturday’s race he took a solid second behind former World Champ Arturs Matisons and in front of Vice European Elite Champ Arnaud Dubois. On Sunday he took the win followed by Arnaud Dubois and Pablo Gutierrez.

In Denmark, Niklas Laustsen competed in the Open Elite race in Varde. In the combined Junior and Elite class Niklas won the overall in the motos giving him 2nd lane choice in the main. He took a good gate and was in second place going into the first turn. After a rider came from the inside pushing the leader up to take over first, Niklas made a nice high-low to hold on to his second place and kept it untill the finish line. A strong result for Junior Niklas against the Danish Elite riders.

Skatepark of Tampa is proud to announce the 2010 additions to their BMX Team. UCI BMX Supercross at Frejus France. BMX races are held on circuits of around 350 metres, including jumps, banked corners and other obstacles. Eight riders compete in each heat (qualifying rounds, quarter finals, semi-finals, finals) with the top four qualifying for the next round.

Los Angeles (September 14, 2009) – Leading action sports event producer, ASA Entertainment, and Xbox 360 are excited to announce that they have partnered for a 2nd time to support the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids through an interactive action sports circuit that will visit high schools across the country to inform students about the dangers of smoking. Starting September 14, the Xbox 360 Get Up Tour will set out on its 10-city trek, first stopping in Boston, Mass and continuing each weekday with a new event through November 20.

Featuring top skateboarding, BMX and inline skating pros performing thrilling tricks on a mobile half-pipe during on-campus assemblies, the Tour will present an important anti-tobacco cause message through announcements, trivia questions, brochures and attention-grabbing performances. It will educate students about the dangers of tobacco use, the risks associated with second-hand smoke and ways to combat the pressure to start smoking. The Tour will invite students to Get Up, Get Smart, and Get the Word Out Today about the risks of smoking.

Mystic is also a BMX mailorder shop that was started in May 2005. The Powerblock continues Tioga's winning tradition. After capturing a combined three Gold and one Silver at the UCI Supercross in Copenhagen and the BMX World Championship in Adelaide, Tioga riders get a clean sweep by taking the Elite Men’s Gold, Silver and Bronze at the UCI BMX Supercross in South Africa.

The winning for Tioga on the World stage started with the first UCI Supercross in Copenhagen, Denmark, where Tioga riders and National Dutch Team members Ivo van der Putten and Martijn Scherpen won the Elite Men’s Gold and Silver. The streak continued with Gold for Donny Robinson in Elite Men’s and Sam Willoughby in Junior Elite Men’s at the UCI BMX World Championship in Adelaide, Australia.
