We are very pleased to invite you to Dessel - Belgium for round 9 & 10 off the 2009 BMX European championship for junior and elite riders. The event takes place 30th and 31st of May 2009, considering it will be the 9th & 10th round means the BMX riders will be in great shape. This in combination with a highly technical track such as BMX2000 Dessel, guarantees a spectacular BMX race event.

The city of Dessel is located in the north of Belgium, just 10 min. from the border with The Netherlands. Dessel has a population of 9.000 people. You can find lots of woods, lakes and is known for the crossing off two water canals and the clearest white sand for making al kinds of glass. Dessel has also lots of supermarkets, bakeries, pubs, restaurants etc.

Dessel is the hometown of the world famous hardrock music festival “Graspop Metal Meeting” and former 5 time world champion motocrosser Joël Smets who is a proud board member of the organizing club “Off-Road Club BMX 2000 DESSEL”.
