Munich, Germany, June 5th 2009 – Corey Bohan, James Foster, Ryan Guettler, Dave Dillewaard, Luke Parslow, TJ Ellis or Cameron White - The biggest names in the business confirmed their attendance at the BIG IN BAVARIA dirt jump comp in Munich on July 24th and 25th. This one of a kind dirt event showcases X-Games, Red Bull Elevation and Dew Tour winners and therefore can claim to be one of the best European dirt jump contests in the season 2009. The Colombian rider Alejandro Caro already promised to “pull it as hard as he can”.

Dave Dillewaard from Australia said almost the same, but also pointed out that he especially can’t wait to enjoy the luscious Bavarian beer in the evening. Rob Darden, American BMX pro who placed 3rd at the X Games 2008, can’t wait to have his big time in Bavaria, too: “I am looking forward to some good times with some great friends while getting loose on our bikes and taking in new parts of the world.”

KINGS ISLAND, Cincinnati (May 24, 2009) – The finals of the ASA Action Sports World Tour’s (ASA ASWT) Kings Island event delighted park visitors with shows that pushed the limits of everyone’s expectations and crowned champions more than deserving of recognition. After months of placing second to Pierre-Luc Gagnon (Montreal, Canada), Danny Mayer (Omaha, Nebraska) took top honors this weekend in the Skateboard Vert contest and claimed what was his first-ever professional competition title. BMX Vert’s Simon Tabron (Newquay, England) also took the top podium spot with a smile across his face that is classic Tabron and reminiscent of the champion fans have known him to be.

“I’ve had so much fun this week,” said Tabron after the contest. “Being here and winning [at Kings Island] has been great.” Tabron entered the BMX Vert contest as the number one qualifier and in the envious position of being the last rider to compete, both an advantageous position and sometimes a curse.

Ryan Nyquist is helping put on a wooden rhythm contest in San Jose, California at the end of May and will be sending out updates on the progress of the event and the jumps.

The world's best BMX jumpers, flipping and spinning, WOW! The San Jose Police Activities League, in cooperation with Epicentro Marketing and Terrain-Parks.com, welcomes local BMX superstar Ryan Nyquist, and many other top professional BMX athletes from all over the globe, to its inaugural "Warriors of Wood" BMX Jumping event.

The two day event will be hosted at PAL stadium located at 680 S. 34th Street San Jose CA 95116. The event will feature many of the world's best BMX jumpers, flipping and spinning their way through a state of the art competition course, looking to capture a spot on the podium. If you have never experienced this kind of riding in person you won't want to miss this! There will also be an interactive village set up, including sponsor and vendor market place, autograph signings, and youth activities. Gagnon and Mayer are One and Two Again and Ellis wins the Big Air BMX Triples at the ASA Action Sports World Tour. Chicago turns out to support Hometown Hero Koji Kraft.

CHICAGO (May 1, 2009) - Action sports fans in the Windy City of Chicago were blown away by the tight competition at the ASA Action World Sports Tour stop at the Sears Centre Arena Friday night where the top seeded athletes ultimately won both the Skateboard Vert and the Big Air BMX Triples but not before some heart-pounding moments where upsets seemed totally in reach. Skateboarder Pierre-Luc Gagnon (Montreal, Canada) had to come from behind in the penultimate round in order to beat out Danny Mayer (Omaha, Nebraska) and extend his win streak to seven straight ASA majors, and BMX champ T.J. Ellis (Moreno Valley, Calif.) made it to the final round only by virtue of a split decision over James Foster (Redlands, Calif). But what really had fans screaming at the filled arena was the fact that hometown hero Koji Kraft made it to the Big Air Finals and landed on the podium for the first time at an ASA event since 2005.

Camp-Ramps just finished the skatepark in Jena Paradies. The set-up has big wallrides, huge jumps and transfers and a general arrangement of ramps, that makes the park special. For the street-orientated riders we installed a pyramid with diverse ledges, a londen-gab and an ollibox. We think the result is quite good. Take a look yourself!

Ricardo Laguna about the event: This was the first year that mother nature gave us perfect weather for this event and jumps were super fun with two different lines and a 20ft spine. Steven Murray made it out too!!! Hucker was one of the top picks to take the win but with a real bad crash (spliting his eye open and couple fractures in his face) had to sit out...Ryan nyquist jumped in the the crow toward the end, for a little crowd surfing. Silverstine, Vandals and Bad Religion were awesome. The roller Derby girls were crazy too for the wrestling.

The comp unites the world’s best BMX dirt jumpers during the BIKE EXPO, the brand new international bicycle trade show from July 23rd to 26th. We will install a veritable outdoor skatepark in Jena. After pimping it up with small features in the last weeks, we will now finally turn it into a big skatepark. Through its open design and its variety in ramp-structures the skatepark is going to attract skateboarders and BMX riders of all riding levels. The setup includes two huge Wallride-Quater-Bank elements, which frame a challenging Jump-Setup, build of Jumpboxes and Spines. A Pyramid with ledges, the new Londen Gap, and the Olli Box give the park the authentic street style.
