The BIG IN BAVARIA Vol.II turns the BIKE EXPO into the center of the dirt jump scene: The biggest prize fund in the dirt jump sport in Europe, a course featuring a big starting tower including a step down jump, a line of huge doubles and some of world’s best riders.
The list of international BMX riders that can’t wait to make their way to sunny Bavaria includes American Ricardo Laguna, Dane Searls from Australia or the British Ben Hennon and Bas Keep. Germany will be well represented by the BMX icon Markus Hampl and Simon Moratz, who surprised last year’s BIG IN BAVARIA spectators and judges with a great performance and got third in the finals.

Formula Europe's Edzus Treimanis and Kevin Sprengers travelled to Seoul, South-Korea for the Crown Haitai International, the first BMX race ever organized in Korea.
The track was a bit unconventional with small pointy jumps, glued sand, that looked like concrete, and a very steep starting hill. But as usually in Asia, the organizer did a perfect job on the organization. The track was dressed up nicely, the riders were pampered and the event was made into 1 big show.
On Friday a Time Trial was held. The laps were timed with 2 chronometers and an average was taken to determine the seedings in Saturday's race. Edzus finished in 5th and Kevin in 7th place.
Saturday's Race Day started with an official opening for spectators and sponsors. After this the riders were presented to the public and then it was race time. Both Edzus and Kevin made it through the Main Event in which Kevin finished in 5th place and Edzus made the podium with a solid 3rd behind Raymon van der Biezen and Olympic Gold Medal Maris Strombergs.

Look-O-look especially markets it’s delightful candy towards the younger ones: this is also reflected in the age of the riders. In the world of Look-O-Look, Fun for Kids is the basic element. And of course, BMX is FUN! Further the company wants to make a statement that you can enjoy candy, but that you also must do sports to keep the balance. And what would be a better choice than BMX!
Apart form a number of riders who are already in the scene for some years, like Joyce Bax (girls 10). Sanne (girls 11) and Corné Vollenberg (boys 15/16), Sander van den Akker (boys 15/16) and Mike van den Boom (junior men) there are also a couple of new faces. Luca Janssen (boys 9) has already one year of racing experience. Casper Pipers (boys 7-) and Jens van Luytelaar (boys 11) will make their debut in the national and international races..
So as of now, no more race without Look-O-Look.
Three of the European Formula Factory Team riders were competing in the International Open Indoor in Kortrijk, Belgium. This 2 day BMX event was organised during the Velofolies Bicycle Fair.
Lucie Meerholz dominated the Girls 14 Category: she won both days without tolerating anyone in front of her.
In the Elite Men Edzus Treimanis and Kevin Sprengers looked like the men to beat. They were winning motos and won their semis on both Satuday and Sunday. The Saturday Main a cracking sound just before the gate dropped messed up the 2 favorites start: Edzus finished in 5th and Kevin had to settle for 7th. On Sunday’s Main, Kevin took the holeshot but in the first turn got run into and crashed. Edzus who was just behind him got hold up and was held back. Edzus finished in 6th, Kevin in 8th.

Redline pros tied-up for wins until struck by third main jinx. The final national race of 2009 - the ABA Grands, in Tulsa, OK, was lookin' good for Factory REDLINE. Aboard the all-new 2010 Flight frames, our pros in AA, Girl and A-pro were all in the mix for a Pro win and podium spot ... that was, up until the gate dropped for the third and final mains. It was just yet another example of the intensity and edge-of-your-seat thrills that The Grands is so famous for.
AApro: In what was by far the most "heavy" gate of eight this year, both DENZEL STEIN and new Redline pick-up SAM WILLOUGHBY found themselves in the AA-pro final. Despite not being in the hunt for the ABA championship-chase, both would play a vital part in making all three mains exciting. Main number one saw Denzel display his incredible power with the holeshot and horsepower - hotly pursued by the Gold medalist himself. Willoughby, in his first eevr race for Redline, was holding off the other two title-chasers in the third spot. Out of the final turn, Maris pulled up alongside Denzel and inches before the line, they both stretched to the line - with the Latvian SuperHero stealing the win away from Stein by sheer millemeters.
Still; with Denzel 2nd and Sam 3rd - the Redline camp was definitely thrilled. But there were still two mains left before they could do any celebrating.
