The event is hosted in Trutnov (again), a city based in the Czech Republic. The event caters for both bmx and mtb riders and includes a variety of disciplines - Street/park (expert/pro), Big Air Jam (sponsored by G-Shock), Best Trick (Snickers). And again, events are run for both bmx and mtb.
I've already heard that both Josh Cox & Jason Phelan are due to attend so one can only assume that the event will be a blazer!
If you would like to know more, you can download the event brochure here: Promotional material {The Bike Hall Contest, 2011}.

We added 2 flow riders to our team from Holland: Sander Wijne and Jordy Agues. With a lot of big races on the European Continent, we hope to get some podium finishes in the Challenge Category as well.
Kevin Sprengers traveled to the USA with his sister Dana to prepare for the Euro Season. In the practice of the ABA race in Reno, he over-jumped the first Pro Section double and smashed into the next set of doubles almost making it a triple jump. He injured his shoulder, returned home to undergo surgery and is now recovering. Check out formulabmx.eu for his race report.
Dana is racing for the Orange-X Team that is racing the Formula Nucleus frame this season. Formula USA’s CEO Bruce put her on the Formula World Team roster for the USA races. He wasn’t disappointed because Dana made 3 mains finishing in a solid 4th place.

Jean Silva originates from Brazil, and it was here that Jean became acquainted with BMX. A few years later Jean emigrated to Portugal, at which point he met David Inês (founder of Sugar Bikes), and Ruben “Trolha” António (Sugar Bikes rider) - Naturally, it was not long until Jean Silva had a full-factory deal riding direct for Sugar Bikes...
... Fast-forward a little to 2010, and Jean Silva is at the forefront of the Mediterranean BMX scene! With a prolific trick-list, signature components in progress, and no shortage of enthusiasm, the future is looking bright for Jean...Very bright!
Full name: Jean Carlos Correa Da Silva

Place of residence: Leiria, PT
Hello Jean. Let us start by setting the scene... What was it like growing up in Brazil?
Growing up in Brazil was very nice, the climate is very good, I could ride every day and meet a lot of bmx’ers there - Although I only rode for four months before moving to Portugal!
What was it that attracted you to BMX? And what was the catalyst for your riding career?
Always loved the rush! Watching other people riding and trying to imagine what they where feeling… I just wanted to feel the same thing! The kick-start was watching “Diogo Canina” (Brazilian rider) on a sports channel, pulling a flip-whip - I told my mother what my future held; “One day I’ll do that aswell!” and she totally backed my riding from the start.

In his new production, Danny turns his incredible riding style of trial bike, mountain bike and BMX-street from the urban streets of Edinburgh to a completely different landscape as he travels Way Back Home through the Scottish Highlands and craggy coastal descents all the way to his hometown of Dunvegan in the Isle of Skye.
Travelling with his close friend and filmmaker Dave Sowerby on a quest to seek out the most challenging riding spots along the way, Danny takes on ancient castles, leaps over rocky terrain and jumps onto and over bridges in the stunning wilderness of remote Scotland.

Formula Europe's Edzus Treimanis and Kevin Sprengers travelled to Seoul, South-Korea for the Crown Haitai International, the first BMX race ever organized in Korea.
The track was a bit unconventional with small pointy jumps, glued sand, that looked like concrete, and a very steep starting hill. But as usually in Asia, the organizer did a perfect job on the organization. The track was dressed up nicely, the riders were pampered and the event was made into 1 big show.
On Friday a Time Trial was held. The laps were timed with 2 chronometers and an average was taken to determine the seedings in Saturday's race. Edzus finished in 5th and Kevin in 7th place.
Saturday's Race Day started with an official opening for spectators and sponsors. After this the riders were presented to the public and then it was race time. Both Edzus and Kevin made it through the Main Event in which Kevin finished in 5th place and Edzus made the podium with a solid 3rd behind Raymon van der Biezen and Olympic Gold Medal Maris Strombergs.
